Finding Forever: A 1970s Love Story
by Anthony Sciarratta (M.A. '18)
In 1970s New York, a neurotic Italian-American man is inspired to write a novel about his love affair with a quirky Broadway actress who inspires him to pursue his life-long dream. Finding Forever is the humerous love stroy of two old souls that finally collide, reminding us that love exists even in the darkest of times.

Anthony Philip Sciarratta was born at Long Island Jewish hospital in New York. He was raised in the Maspeth and Middle Village areas of Queens.
Growing up in a traditional family, Anthony shares a close bond with his paternal grandparents, who are immigrants from Italy. His Italian culture has a heavy influence on his earliest work since he was a child. In the fifth grade, Anthony made a journal entry stating he would one day publish a book and star in a sequel to Grease. Fortunately, one of these dreams would eventually come true.
Anthony never strayed too far from home, staying in Queens for the remainder of his educational career. He attended St. Francis Preparatory school and Queens College as he continued to higher education. He finally broke form while pursuing his master’s degree at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury.
Throughout his first few years of college, Anthony renewed his interest in writing by deciding to pursue a career in sports journalism. His dream was to work in football covering the New York Giants. Anthony went on to hold internships with SportsNet New York and the New York Jets. He spent a great deal of time blogging on news aggregates like FanSided and the Inquisitr, where he perfected his craft as a writer.
Coming close to college graduation, Anthony felt there was something missing in his life. He thought he wasn’t maximizing his writing abilities and decided to pursue digital filmmaking and television, a track in Communication Arts at the New York Institute of Technology. Anthony helped exercise his creative muscles at NYIT, where he formed the idea for his first novel, Finding Forever: A 1970s Love Story.
